About the Opportunity:

The Roux Institute is driving economic development in the state of Maine through Research, Learning, Entrepreneurship, and Partnerships. The entrepreneurship team is focused on developing the entrepreneurial mindset in all the communities we support as well as attracting and supporting high growth startups and founders to Maine.

The Entrepreneurship Programming Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and managing programs that support the growth of the entrepreneurial mindset in the communities we serve. This role will report to the Associate Director of Entrepreneurship, Ecosystem.

Responsibilities:


Responsibilities:
Develop & Pilot New Programs:
- Complete needs assessment and customer discovery in order to develop and pilot novel programs that inspire entrepreneurship including but not limited to bootcamps, learning opportunities, and hack-a-thons.
- Work cross functionally to develop programming, applications, sponsorship and revenue models as well as market programs.
- Create robust programs that are integrated with our Research, Learning, and Partnership initiatives.

Scale Programs:
- Manage the growth of programs such as our Entrepreneurship Immersion Program.
- Document learnings and processes to enable the growth of programs within Maine and across the Northeastern network.

Reporting & Other:
- Keep diligent records of the results of the programs and suggest improvements.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and knowledge in the technology industry
• 1-2 years program or project management experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the startup ecosystem, including an understanding of startup and founder needs
• An insatiable hunger to help early-stage founders succeed
• Ability to quickly find solutions to problems as they come up and juggle multiple projects at once.
• Works well under pressure and isn’t scared by uncertainty
• Excellent at working independently
• Proven record of operating effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in planning and managing programs and events
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Experience working for an accelerator/incubator or entrepreneurial support program preferred
