About the Opportunity

Northeastern University–Charlotte is seeking an energetic, organized professional for the Campus Assistant position (part-time temporary). The Campus Assistant will be responsible for staffing the front desk during the day, assisting with evening and weekend class meetings, study hours, and special events. Primary duties include managing the front desk, greeting guests and students providing general university information, ensuring instructor’s needs are met to begin class, troubleshooting technology issues, managing room set up for classes, and assisting students with their requests.


Associate’s degree required Bachelor's degree preferred along with 2 years of professional office experience (administrative or customer support), preferably in higher education. The successful candidate will have outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical to this role. Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to prioritize work to meet campus and client expectations. Must have ability to make sound decisions and judgments to best serve clients’ needs and meet campus goals. Proficiency in Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite necessary, as well as familiarity with using audio/video equipment and other technology.
