About the Opportunity:

The Program Director oversees the Health in Justice Action Lab to ensure its efficient operation, staff management and general oversight. The Lab is a public policy think-do tank based at Northeastern University School of Law. This position is central to the success of the Lab. The Program Director must efficiently manage and fulfill all administrative and technical aspects of this busy, multi-constituent organization. The primary focus of the job is to ensure quality program delivery and support to the staff, students and external partners. In addition to overseeing the administrative management, the Program Director interfaces with faculty, departments, and programs within the School of Law and elsewhere at Northeastern.



This position is dedicated to conceptualizing, managing and operationalizing research activities focused on mandatory drug treatment and other coercive health care practices.  


Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of experience, including ability to effectively communicate complex facts and ideas both in writing and in face-to-face presentations. This position also requires high level of skill in working collaboratively with individuals and groups and proficiency in social media, design, and other communications platforms and techniques. The position requires detailed knowledge of public health law as it relates to the intersection of criminal justice and population health policies and law enforcement practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Master’s degree and/or 2 years of experience. A significant track record of grant-writing and grant-funded research is a plus | Commitment to diversity | Ability to effectively communicate complex facts and ideas both in writing and in face-to-face presentations | High level of skill in working collaboratively with individuals and groups
