About the Opportunity:

The COVID Testing Site Patient Care Associate will be the first point of contact for all students, faculty, and staff being tested for COVID-19. Under the guidance of a Supervisor, the Patient Care Associate will be responsible for greeting and screening Northeastern community members.  Successful candidates must be customer-service focused and be comfortable working in a healthcare setting. The University plans to administer tests to approximately 2,500-5,000 students, faculty, and staff on a daily basis in order to promote rigorous health and safety guidelines across campus.

This is a part-time temporary position.  Testing sites will be open 7 days week.  Multiple shifts and schedules available.  Must have flexible schedule.


  • Greet all Northeastern community members entering the testing site
  • Manage the waiting area
  • Check-in all patients
  • Provide screenings to all patients, using established questionnaire
  • Administer temperature checks
  • Must adhere to HIPAA and OSHA regulations
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 1 year work experience in a customer-centric role
  • Proficient in English
  • Team player who consistently provides excellent customer service
  • Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced, potentially stressful environment while exhibiting strong communication skills including listening and empathy
  • Demonstrated record of consistent professional performance, including punctuality, appropriate behavior, respectful treatment of patients and colleagues and compliance with confidentiality laws and policies
