About the Opportunity:

Under the direction of the Creative Director the Senior UI/UX Designer works with the creative team, and university stakeholders to develop an optimized and cohesive user experience throughout our platforms. This role is responsible for helping guide the entirety of the design process through its completion by presenting to stakeholders and working along developers to ensure accurate implementation.

Responsibilities:

Partner with the creative team and developers and university partners to understand customer needs, goals, motivations, and behaviors. • Develop cohesive design and experience throughout our product, providing expertise and mentorship. • Information Architecture • Develop story boards, wireframes, prototypes • Visual Design • Ensure brand guidelines are followed through the design process •User Research • Develop and lead the Design team to improve the range of research methods used. • Employ design thinking and questioning techniques to develop strategies • Make informed decisions and execute plans • Lead a small team of Designers. • Critique in-progress design work, evaluating the priority and effectivity of solutions. • Coach team through reviews and feedback and support their UX/UI growth. • Raise the capacity, skills and quality of user-centered design on the team.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in user-experience and visual interface design.
• Portfolio showing your UI and UX skills
• Ability to create clean, visually consistent designs from concept to completion.
• In-depth knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office; Experience with Sketch and InVision
• Understanding and appreciation of standard user interface design concepts and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences at various levels of our organization.
• Have contributed as a leader in design and a strong collaborator across disciplines.
• Knowledgeable in creating wireframes, visual mockups graphics, user workflows, and low
and high-fidelity prototypes.
