This position implements and coordinate administrative activity in conjunction with NUSL Clinic staff and administrative staff. The CRRJ Program Assistant assists CRRJ's academic leaders to manage the CRRJ docket and the Burnham-Nobles Archive. The Program Assistant distributes cases to CRRJ clinic students, provides research and administrative support to clinic students during their investigations, and manages the physical and digital case files at the end of each clinic. This position also assists the program leadership to establish a high-level of record keeping, maintains administrative schedules, participates in establishing policies and distributes as needed, trains students in proper methods and procedures to ensure accuracy and quality of work, oversees program databases and coordinates, tracks and monitors program expenses, and manages invoices and billing with appropriate cost centers and budget. The CRRJ Program Assistant works with CRRJ's Restorative Justice personnel to plan and implement restorative justice initiatives in collaboration with families and communities of racially motivated homicide victims. Examples of restorative justice projects include the installation of burial and historical markers, public apologies, renaming streets, holding commemorative events and correcting public records. The CRRJ Program Assistant assists the academic leaders and executive staff in CRRJ's public outreach, including events internal to the University and external conferences. The Program Assistant is tasked with disseminating information from the CRRJ Burnham Nobles Archive in a range of mediums. The Program Assistant assists in development of materials for educational trainings, conferences and events as well as documentaries and podcasts The Program Assistant updates the CRRJ website and other social media platforms.
